UE BOOM One of Only 50 Recognized for Excellence in Design
Today Ultimate Ears, a Logitech brand, announced that its popular UE BOOM wireless speaker has won a prestigious 2014 gold iF product design award from the iF International Forum Design. This is Logitech’s fifth consecutive year of recognition, and the first time one of its products has received an iF gold award.
"The Walkman and then the iPod made music truly mobile," said Rory Dooley, general manager of Ultimate Ears. "UE BOOM builds on this by giving people an incredibly easy and convenient way to share those magical music moments. This gold award validates our effort to create an amazing music experience that can go anywhere and be shared with anyone."
UE BOOM is a mobile wireless speaker packed with specific features that set a new standard for listening to music in any environment. Its versatile go-anywhere shape fits perfectly in any backpack or water bottle holder and it is wrapped in a specially developed acoustic skin that is both water and stain resistant, so you can take it anywhere without worry. Additionally, thanks to its cylindrical shape, it blasts bold 360-degree sound.
The iF product design awards are one of the most prestigious in the world, celebrating outstanding achievements in design. In 2014, only 50 products were recognized with an iF Gold award.
